Welcome Here: Creating Safe and Inclusive Spaces The Welcome Here Project supports businesses/organisations throughout Australia to create and promote environments that are visibly welcoming and inclusive of Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans and Queer (LGBTQ+) communities. Members of the project (registered Welcoming Places) receive a sticker to display in their window to let everyone know that LGBTQ+ diversity is welcomed and celebrated within their business. Registered Welcoming Places also display a charter that brings to life their commitment to the project, and what being a member is all about. Apply to become a member, nominate a business you know to become a member, and look out for Welcome Here stickers all over Australia! Visit ‘Welcome Here’ Website Like Pride in Diversity, Welcome Here is an initiative of ACON, dedicated to fostering inclusion and safety for LGBTQ+ individuals. While it operates independently from Pride in Diversity, organisations are wholeheartedly encouraged to register.
