Developed in 2010, the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) is the leading benchmarking tool for LGBTQ+ inclusion in workplaces across Australia. It serves as:

A comprehensive roadmap, guiding organisations in developing and implementing their inclusion strategies;
A submission-based assessment, enabling organisations to measure their progress and benchmark against industry peers;
A national employee survey, capturing insights into the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ employees; and
A pathway to award nominations, recognising excellence in workplace LGBTQ+ inclusion.

Together, these elements drive lasting cultural change and workplace inclusion.
