AWEI Submission

Benchmark your progress and showcase your commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion

AWEI Submission: Choose the Stream That Fits Your Organisation

The Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) submission process is tailored to support different types of organisations in their LGBTQ+ inclusion journey. Two distinct streams — Standard Employer and Small Employer — allow organisations to participate in a way that aligns with their size, structure, and capacity.

Standard Employer Stream

The Standard Employer Stream is designed for larger organisations that have established diversity and inclusion frameworks. It provides a structured benchmarking tool to measure progress, identify gaps, and showcase leadership in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.

Who Can Participate?

The Standard Employer Stream is open to (but not limited to):

  • Large Employers (501+ employees)
  • Public Sector Organisations
  • Universities and Tertiary Institutions
  • Multinational Corporations
  • Government and Corporate Agencies
  • Professional Associations
  • Any business/workplace

Small Employer Stream

The Small Employer Stream is designed for organisations with 500 or fewer employees, ensuring that smaller workplaces can participate in the AWEI in a way that reflects their unique challenges and opportunities.

Who Can Participate?

  • Small Businesses (1–500 employees)
  • Not-for-Profit Organisations
  • Startups and Social Enterprises

Participation in the AWEI Submission process is exclusively available to all Pride in Diversity members as part of our membership benefits.

An Index+ Participation‘ membership tier, has been designed for organisations who only wish to participate in the AWEI Submission process, Employee Survey, or both. This membership tier will also give organisations access to some online, member-only publications, resources, factsheets, video library, and a LGBTQ+ inclusion eLearning module.
