Georgie Harman AO Georgie Harman AO is the CEO of Beyond Blue and one of Australia’s most respected mental health leaders, with over 30 years’ experience across government, community, and the not-for-profit sector. Since 2014, she has guided Beyond Blue through significant growth and innovation, cementing its place as a trusted voice on mental health. Georgie is widely recognised for her inclusive leadership and commitment to social justice, with a strong focus on improving mental health outcomes for LGBTIQ+ people through targeted campaigns, resources, research, and advocacy. As Patron of Pride in Diversity, she brings deep insight into the connection between inclusion, safety, and mental wellbeing, and a passion for ensuring workplaces are welcoming for all. Paul Zahra Paul Zahra is a prominent business leader and champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an extensive career that includes serving as CEO of David Jones and the Australian Retailers Association. Known for his strategic leadership and advocacy, Paul has played a central role in embedding LGBTQ+ inclusion into mainstream DEI practice in Australia. His influence extends across corporate, retail, and community sectors, where he has worked to drive systemic cultural change. As Patron of Pride in Diversity, Paul brings a wealth of experience and a steadfast commitment to creating workplaces where every individual can thrive. Past Patrons Alan Joyce AC expand_more Alan Joyce (he/him) served as a Patron of Pride in Diversity during his tenure as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Qantas Group. Renowned for his leadership in transforming Qantas and expanding its presence in Asia, Alan was also a passionate advocate for inclusion and diversity in corporate Australia. He played a visible and vocal role in advancing gender equity, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and Indigenous education, and was recognised as a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) in 2017 for his significant contributions to business, tourism, and social progress. We thank Alan for his outstanding commitment and the lasting impact he has made in championing diversity across the workplace and the broader community. Jennifer Westacott AO expand_more Jennifer Westacott AO served as a Patron of Pride in Diversity while leading the Business Council of Australia as Chief Executive Officer. A highly respected leader with extensive public and private sector experience, Jennifer has been a powerful advocate for workplace inclusion, mental health, and education. She has held significant leadership roles including Chancellor of the University of Western Sydney, Chair of the Western Parkland City Authority, and inaugural Chair of Studio Schools of Australia. Recognised as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2018, Jennifer has also served as Patron of the Pinnacle Foundation and Co-Patron of Pride in Diversity. We are deeply grateful for her leadership, advocacy, and enduring support of LGBTQ+ inclusion in workplaces across the nation. The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG expand_more The inaugural Patron of Pride in Diversity from 2010 to 2017, the Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG brought his distinguished legacy as a High Court Justice and passionate champion for human rights to the role.
